Analisis Framing Komunikasi Politik Ahmad Sahroni Tentang Tunjangan Perumahan Anggota DPR RI (2025)
This study aims to analyze the framing of politicalrncommunication by Ahmad Sahroni, Deputy Chairman ofrnCommission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPRrnRI), in responding to the 2025 housing allowance issue forrnlegislators. The issue sparked public debate due to its sensitivityrnin relation to the nation’s socio-economic conditions. Using arnqualitative approach with framing analysis, this researchrnexamines how the media constructed Sahroni’s politicalrndiscourse, particularly through Entman’s and Pan & Kosicki’srnmodels. The findings indicate that Sahroni’s framing emphasizedrnthe legitimacy of legislators’ facility needs, administrativernjustification, and the importance of transparency andrnaccountability in state budget allocation. Meanwhile, the mediarnprovided diverse representations, ranging from defendingrnlegislative image to criticizing social sensitivity. These findingsrnreveal that Sahroni’s political communication framing functionsrnnot only as a strategy to maintain personal and institutionalrnreputation, but also as a form of issue management in the contextrnof Indonesian democracy.
